Current rate 5% each — the employee and the employer pay the same.
Assessable wage base right now: 1,650–17,500 baht a month (Jan 1, 2026 to Dec 31, 2028) · Source: www.sso.go.th
- Deducted from your pay
- 875.00 baht
- Paid by your employer
- 875.00 baht
- Into the fund each month
- 1,750.00 baht
Your wage is above the assessable maximum, so the base used is the maximum: 17,500 × 5% = 875.00 baht
The deduction stops rising once the wage reaches the assessable maximum: 17,500 × 5% = 875.00 baht
Rounded to two decimal places. The Social Security Office may round the last satang differently.

The “in force now” flag is decided on our clock, not on your device's. The later windows are ceilings that have already been legislated but have not started yet.
This page only calculates. FlareApps does not run payroll or remit contributions for you — the staff module we have today covers staff records, availability and shifts.
A worked example
If the salary is above the assessable maximum in force, the base used is 17,500 baht rather than the full salary. The deduction is therefore 17,500 × 5% = 875 baht, and it does not grow beyond that however much the salary rises. The employer contributes the same again.
How to use it
There is one field: the monthly wage. Read the three results underneath. The mistake people make most often is applying the rate to the whole wage — the law applies it to an assessable base with both a floor and a ceiling. Above the ceiling the base stops rising, which is why the deduction stops rising too; below the floor the floor is used instead. This page says which base it used and why, every time. The ceiling and the rate are not typed into the code: they are read from the table we keep, with the date each took effect and a link to the ministerial regulation behind it.
- Enter the monthly wage
- Check the base it used, and why, if it was clamped to the ceiling or the floor
- Read the employee amount, the employer amount and the monthly total

If you want this against your real data
If you run the business rather than work in it, FlareApps' paid plans bundle the staff, rostering and bookkeeping panels together. The plan page says which one covers what.
FlareApps has a free plan you can start on today; paid business plans are billed monthly or yearly, per business. Every real price is on the pricing page — no phone call needed.
See the plansFrequently asked questions
- My salary went up but the deduction did not. Why?
- Contributions are calculated on an assessable base that has a ceiling, not on the actual salary. Once the salary passes the ceiling the base stops there, so the deduction stops changing. The table below shows what the ceiling is in each window and when each one takes effect.
- Where do the ceiling and the rate on this page come from?
- From the table we keep, with the date each figure took effect and a link to the ministerial regulation on the Social Security Office's own site. Any row whose notice link we have not filled in yet carries an amber flag saying so — we show that rather than hide it.
- Can this page file the contribution for me?
- No. This page only does the arithmetic. Filing and remitting go through the Social Security Office's own channels, and if you are checking a figure with HR, check it against the actual pay slip too.
